Bringing in your product list
If your products are in Excel, Google Sheets or another billing program, you can bring them all in at once.
What the file needs
One product per row, with headings in the first row. QuickBills recognises these columns, under their usual names:
- Name (needed)
- Barcode (EAN, UPC)
- MRP or selling price, with GST included
- GST %: 0, 5, 12, 18, 28 or 40
- Item code, HSN, Category
- Cost price, Stock (what you have now) and Low stock (when to reorder)
No list yet? In the import window, tap Download a template, fill it in and delete the two example rows.
Importing
- Save the sheet as CSV (File › Save as › CSV, or File › Download › CSV in Google Sheets).
- Open More › Products › Import and choose the file.
- Check that each column is read as the right thing; change any that are not.
- Tap import. Products already in QuickBills are matched by barcode, then item code, then name, and updated; the rest are added.
Long barcodes turning into 8.9E+12
Excel shows long numbers in scientific form and can lose their last digits. Before you type or paste barcodes, select the barcode column and set it to Text. QuickBills warns you about any barcode that looks like this.
On the Free plan
Free holds up to 100 products. A file that would take you past 100 adds none of its new products (products already in QuickBills are still updated); move to Pro for no limit.
